No shite because its a separate entity, but transitioning from one municipality to the other is unrecognizable. The city streets are all connected and you wouldnt have known you even left St. Louis proper. And to your original point its no where close to country.
This is stupid. You said you lived in the city. For natives of St. Louis, that means St. Louis City itself, not the County. I never said anything about the country. If I did, it was a typo and meant county. And yes, roads connect us all, but you can walk the streets of Clayton at night. St. Louis City itself? Not so much in many parts.

I live in West county and I see at least twice as many people wearing Cardinals gear as wear Mizzou gear, even in the winter.
Your experience is much different than mine then. I go to the gas station each morning to get my morning caffeine. I'll see a few people wearing Mizzou gear. Haven't seen Cardinal gear since the World Series. Go to the grocery store, I'll see several in Mizzou gear. Can't say I've seen any Cardinal gear.
I'm not saying there aren't more Cardinal fans because there is. Not saying some don't wear it year round because they do. However, for the last month, I'd say for every person wearing something Cardinals, I see a dozen wearing Mizzou gear.

If you would've worn a Cubs shirt you could've caught some flack. Why would they care about you wearing an Auburn shirt when yall are playing them in only their biggest game in 50 years

I live in St. Louis and to be honest I don't see a whole lot of Mizzou gear. I mean this in as honest a way as I can when I say the rest of the SEC is notorious for people wearing their teams gear around. When I go home I never want to wear a UK shirt because my god everyone has one on. I get a little embarrased because 85% didn't attend the university..... but that is a another issue. I see almost as many Kansas, Illinois, Missouri State and Indiana folks around as I do Mizzou.
And the Cardinals clothing is most definitely a year round thing. Don't let them fool you.
This is so weak. Missouri State? Indiana? I am convinced that Kentucky is just Kansas in disguise, because I only see weak bullshite of this level from the cartoon birds.

I traveled all around Missouri this week and all I saw were people in in Emporia State and St. Paul School of Theology shirts. What's up Mizzou fans?!?

Or you can't face the truth.

I was at a train station in St. Louis yesterday, and I all I saw were people in Mavericks and Culver-Stockton t-shirts. No Mizzou gear to be found. What the frick Missouri?

Where I live has a pretty large contingent of just about every SEC fan base. Save Vandy and State although I do see them represented from time to time. I even see lots of Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio State, etc. I can't for the life of me remember seeing Mizzou represented. I'm not saying its never happened because it probably has at some point. I have seen quite a bit of Cardinals gear. The point is that in a very transient city with most large and mid sized universities east of the great divide represented, a negligible amount of Mizzou gear is seen. Mizzous fan base is a very small one and not very far reaching.

You don't really live in UF territory either. I've lived here several years and can't ever remember seeing Mizzou anything. Again, I probably have bit the fact it happens so rarely that I can't remember is the point here.

You probably won't. UF shirts are not a hot item at the moment. I bet you have seen quite a few 'Noles shirts though.

Do realize that most of the people you encountered at the airport probably aren't Missourians?
Missourians don't fly out of Lambert-St. Louis?
Maybe the F-15's scare them off?

Tell ya what, the next time you're visiting Missouri, send me your itinerary & I'll have someone meet you to say hello and tell you how much Auburn sucks.....are we good now?
Why do you assume I expected a hostile reaction?
Don't y'all strike up conversations about football with other team's fans? Just to talk about the game?
Yankees.

Around here it's considered somewhat silly and 'young' to wear your mizzou gear all the time once you are out of college. I only break mine out on game days. We like the football, but our lives don't depend on it

Wife and I ate at the 5 Guys in Auburn last night wearing our Mizzou gear. Not a single Aubie spoke to us, but we did strike up a conversation with some TAMU fans that wished Mizzou luck in the game. When we walked in we heard one guy say "I like them better than Ohio State", but didn't hear all of the conversation, so he certainly could have been talking about any other team.

Because a large percentage of Mizzou fans and alumni live in St. Louis. So whatever your anecdotal biased story is, we live here.
