This is exactly the point most fans of other schools do not understand (especially Auburn). The same standards we have of "electing," a National Champion today are not the same standards that were used in the past. I am sure when there is finally some form of a mini-playoff "plus one," one day fans from other schools will try to discredit BCS Titles saying these were won "pre-playoff era so they don't count."
The NCAA recognizes that Princeton has 26 National Championships so no one else even comes close...

That's debatable. Is Arkansas even in the Top 20 in all-time wins yet? You were recently still sitting at #21 behind Pitt and Texas A&M.
