A win this year would tie the bear for titles at bama and put him 1 up overall

You dumb Bammers have finally figured it out. The title at LSU will be what puts him over the Bear. It's been our plan all along. We playing 4-D chess while you goomers are playing checkers.

possible, but highly doubtful and more of your hopes lol.

I think he's very close to retiring, not bc of another NC, but bc he has bama and players fully bought in to his goal and vision of success. Him getting emotional with Hurts was personal, but also about a player buying in and focusing on TEAM success and not personal circumstances. That's the PROCESS. To me, that's his ultimate success, goal and vision.

People that say his goal is to have more NCs or be the winningest coach all time, is more about their vision and not his.

I don't see Saban coaching late into his career like Paterno or Bowden, then again, the man might.

I'd say he will step away in the next3/5 years.

I think he is just getting older and starting to appreciate more of what he has in life. Nothing wrong with that.
This and he appreciates a young man that worked his arse off, accepted the coaching, shed off outside distractions and reaped the rewards with that win on Saturday. Saban appreciates what Jalen did this season and was happy (and emotional) to watch Jalen shine when given the opportunity.

Next year might be his best team of all. Our defense should be markedly better and Tua should be healthy and even better than this year. NO ONE is touching us next year.

I think Saban coaches until he dies. He's addicted to it and has a world class work ethic.

He claims that he will retire one day, but I see him doing the Bear Bryant/JoePa thing and just dying after he's done.
