No I think OM is definitely going to be a better team with a better season. I believe they are more talented than MS ST right now and have better coaching. But maybe I give freeze to much credit.

I agree but MSU is definitely not a team to overlook this year and Mullen is a better coach most people give credit.

MSU brings back alot of experience. We ran a great rotation of WRS and have great TEs. 5th year sr QB with a quality back up. We bring back 4 RBs and add Shump. The OL are all vets and we have some depth there.

MSU's biggest issue last season was defense. WE sucked due to the scheme. In 2010 we were ranked 15th in the country in rush defense. Last year, 67th!

Tackles for a loss in 2010, 17th in the nation. In 2012, 90th!

2012.. sacks.. ranked 100th!

Point is that under a DC that got after it, we excelled. When he left, we went to a horrible scheme, read and react. Limited blitzes.

This season, we have a great deal of talent. Very deep on the DL. Very fast LBs with size. We will be very much improved there. We did not lose all of our secondary as suggested. We lost 2 CBs. They were great. That's all we had to replace, and we did. We returned the other 2 CBs.

It's still 3 weeks out from the start of the season, and we could have a lot of injuries. Barring that, MSU will be much improved and shock LSU, UM.

Oh lordy, that would be chaos. It would be amazing, and terrible, in a ugly beautiful sort of way.

There are all kinds of holes in there, but I'm sure someone else will point out the specifics in a minute.

I'm in the beginning stages of some pre season handicapping/power ratings but there are plenty of holes. Just an example:

WR: top 4 from 2012 are gone. Leading returner is the rb who caught 19 balls for 160 yards. At the wr position alone, ms state must replace 76% of their 2012 production.

Since there is no pm function, we can't do that.

Lets just assume that all your posts would sound uncool.
