I predict LSU falls short of expectations next year

The way I see it, they can respond like the Alabama 2009 team after the great 2008 season which fell just short. Or they can respond like the Alabama 2010 team which rested on its laurels.
Another question is how the Alabama team will respond in 2012. I don't know. I think they've got a better chance than the 2010 team because it will be easier to stay motivated after a 2nd championship than after the first.

The last "I don't understand all the LSU hype" thread turned out real well

why would we rest on losing like a bunch of embarrassing clowns. get the frick out of here

I think people can justify just about anything concerning a future team by randomly picking past teams to look at. LSU is not Alabama from 08, 2010 1966 or any other year. they are LSU. We'll know about them the same time we'll know about every other team. When they start to play next year.

Easy for you do do now. LSU has a decent QB next year.

Two reasons. (1) They could rest on their laurels because it was a spectacular season of outright domination except for two games. (2) They could be demoralized because they lost like a bunch of embarrassing clowns.
People respond different ways and it's hard to predict.
If the 2012 LSU is motivated and has "it" I think they'll get it done.

Hmmm, okay. Looking forward to seeing what qualifiers the OP will use in his argument to support this.

Uh...well, maybe his argument is in the next paragraph...

Wait, what the frick is the title of this thread?

Serious statement and question. Not a jab.
Neither earned or proven. Also, who is the "go to" man for next season?

LSU's expectations are to win the NCG. Yes...there is a good chance they fall short of expectations since that's pretty hard to do no matter what.
Yes, I would take the field over taking LSU

considering "expectations" are a NC your not really going out on a limb, but ok.

So you are saying that LSU can do one of two things next year and one of the things doesn't apply to them, but that is the one you expect to happen?
Why would LSU rest on their laurels next year if they didn't win the 'ship this year?
