I'm so sorry to hear that Marines.

Thank you for what you do. It is because of people like you and those who have sacrificed their lives in the past that we have the freedom to watch football on Saturdays. You are a true hero.

Been there man, I missed most of the 04 season and all of the 05 one.
I assume that you're going to Leatherneck in southern Afghanistan?

Edit: Who are you with?

It's not definite for the football season, it could be Jan.

If the Marines are anything like the Army, even if it is Jan, they'll find a way to keep you in the field during football season.

Godspeed, keep your head down.

What you're doing is far more important than college football anyhow. You walk the walk instead of talk the talk like 90 percent of all of us. Good luck and stay as safe as possible.

Thanks everyone. I'm no hero, that's for sure but I will keep yall informed. I missed part of 07 when I was in Iraq but came home the day of the UF game and saw Wes Byrum do the chomp. I could barely hold my head up after 5 whiskeys.

That was one hell of a ball game. Me and my old Auburn roommate were watching the game together sipping tequila. I laughed my arse off!

Your honor, courage, and commitment is very real for me......... thank you.
