Small colleges that lived for those games to help their budgets will be dropping with a quickness.

Good. The UABs of the world need to die anyway. They serve no purpose to the P5 other than an easy victory. Let them compete in a separate division where they can actually be competitive or wither away at their own speed. After all....we're not communists. Why should we indulge these schools and prop them up?

There’s a whole big college football world outside of Alabama and South Florida. A lot of smaller programs whose alums are not fans of other teams will never feel the same connection that they do now.

I promise you there are a lot of North Texas students/alums that are more passionate about Texas or Texas A&M than they are about the Mean Green.

Same goes for ULL and ULM fans and LSU.

Again, there is NO WAY college football will die or even be dramatically hurt if FAU, FIU, USA, UNT and other similar schools lose their programs.

That doesn't mean I want those schools to lose their programs and do agree that some fans will be greatly impacted. I live in West Palm Beach and know probably 15-20 kids or the parents of kids that attend either FAU or FIU. I would guesstimate approximately 90% of those kids/families would never miss a Gator, Seminole or to a lesser extent Cane game to watch or attend an Owl or Panther game.

We need one or 2 of those games each year. Backups can get playing time and it's an easy game to take kids to instead of an intense SEC game.

I already stated earlier in the thread that I agreed we should play 1 or 2 of those games.

Ironically, I've heard this season will see how extra conf. games for all P5 could work.

Just like the vast majority of UAB students cheer for either Alabama or Auburn.

I would like to see every SEC open their season with a close by small school to help them out. It helps the Big School get the kinks out, and gives the Small School a payday.

For example: Auburn plays Alabama State, LSU plays Southern and so on. All travel is on game day to keep costs down. To me it would be a win/win and would help out some HBCU’s too.

I like playing 10 SEC games AND I like starting in late September. I would play 10 SEC games and 1 OOC game which must be a Power 5 conference team (or ND or BYU).

Who? Bama hasn't played a non-Auburn Alabama team since the 1940's I believe. (I think it was Samford)

Which one are you playing? UAB? No, you are afraid of them. Must be West Alabama.

We are going to see a large number of FCS/D2/D3 programs fail to survive the massive hit this year. So few of even FCS football programs are profitable that these money games sustain of their lower schools entire athletic departments. I don’t want to see a snooZefest either but it’s good for the sport and other college towns.
