Yeah, I've been thinking the same. I think it was known back when that initial report of him becoming our coach was released.
Unfortunately with our several hires lately, I've noticed this trend. It gets floated out by someone and then everyone acts stupid for awhile.
I actually called it between Golesh and Silverfield back on Halloween day with my brother. I thought it would be Golesh, but preferred Silverfield at the time.
Then they went to shite and November and when the actual hire was made I was pissed.
Funny how that works. Anyways, then I calmed down and started going through the stats and listened to him speak and am now happier with Silverfield than I would have been with Golesh. I think Yurachek did a good job here.

Golesh was waiting on our offer but didn’t get it. Silverfield signed the contract at 11pm Saturday then Aubie offered Golesh at 1:30am.

Silverbullet has been coaching since 18yo, steadily risen up the coaching ranks, & never had a losing season as HC
If nothing else, infusing that winning mentality into our program is worth hiring him.

Seems like Arky fans should want a coach who takes less and does more, not the other way around. Just my .02.

Every fan base seems to like their new HCs,in a couple of yrs half of us will be pissed.Thats they way it works.

A lot of our fans have done a deeper dive into Silverfield & came away agreeing he’s better than expected. Maybe the best fit.
The average SEC fan wouldn’t be expected to have done that deep dive. So it’s not a surprise SEC fans don’t understand our fans assessment.
