the fact that we need to start paying players
that's really a stupid idea unless it's merely a small "spending money" stripend.

something that will kill collegiate athletics
only if it's market driven. if players openly go to the highest bidder, college football is doomed. i for certain will no longer support it. frankly, it might be a good thing to kill college revenue sports and start over from scratch. there is very little difference between major college football and the pro's anyway. it's the nfl minor leagues that the nfl does't have to pay a dime for.

Players should not be paid by the university or be allowed to receive cash directly from alumni. However, I think should they have a name, likeness or skill that is marketable, they should be allowed to seek compensation for that before or after the football season.

This is obsurd. It would ruin the game we all love. God I can't wait until that poison pill JFF is gone. He is ruining CFB.

Again, what's to stop schools or alumni from promising a recruit $200k for his appearance at a Car Dealership once he commits? Who dictates what jerseys should be sold? Should a player be allowed to transfer without losing a year if he feels that his profitability is higher at another school?
The problem with the Olympic model is that different teams/fanbases aren't competing for the athletes' to play for them in the Olympics.

She posted that she has PMS on that "How old are you" thread she just started. So yes, she is a dumb woman who shouldn't be trying to talk football.

Saban had to remind Kenny Bell's mom that Kenny doesn't have guaranteed money.

First, How old are you Texas Tea? You are rude and obnoxious. Why would you assume women don't know football? My 2 uncles played for Bama in the 60's. I was raised on football. Again you are extremely rude. Get some some manners before you graduate.

Women here in Texas know their place. They don't try and talk football with the men.

I don't think we should pay players. That would be a terrible idea and open the can of worms worse then it is now...

As I said TT get some manners before you graduate. I would never hire someone like you who thinks it is OK to talk down to women. I have mostly men that are on my sales team.

I would never work for a woman. And you are way too sensitive to be on this website.
