A stadium nicknamed for a fricking rock. Ours earned its nickname by being the worst, most intimidating stadium for a visiting team to play in over decades. Call it Deaf or Death, the reason is the same. Want proof? Go check 80 years of tape and quotes from the greatest coaches of the last 60 years.
I’ll take earning the name over a random rock from a desert any day.

I heard about Clemson and Death Valley long before the ESPN/SEC hype train co-opted the title for LSU.

Literally NO ONE in America, outside of South Carolina, thinks of Clempson, when they hear the words - death valley. It's an accepted football fact across the country that it is referring to the one, the only Tiger Stadium.

Why on earth would we want to copy y’alls stadium? It looks like it’s in a damn forest with all those trees behind it with a hill that looks like the one in Mississippi State’s baseball stadium.

The path to the NC and winning the NC are very different things. It's not like they're OU who always get the nod but never win a game. They've gone to the finals in 4 of the last 5 years and won 2. They played A&M the past two years and Auburn the two before and SCar every year. And they have a home and home with LSU on the books. Their conference may be garbage but it's not worse than the Big 12 and they do what they can to schedule good games.
