wavehog that was so silly it wasn't worth my time b/c it does not factor in strength of schedule but only number of wins. notice how more big east schools are ahead of SEC schools? does that mean it's a stronger conference?

Go to espn and type in the search engine "nfl players from college " and look at our competition and research how far those players traveled to the program they played at. You'll find out out of the 6 SEC teams on the fixed schedule the average active NFL number comes to 26 with LSU (43) and MSU (18) we have 16 and we had to recruit our 16 from more than 100 miles further away from the campus on average than the competition. That's what I'd look at, not number of wins b/c those teams at the top have a piss poor stength of schedule and it also does not indicate the final recruit ranking. If you did that for basketball in Arkansas do you take Pels #16 rank? or do you subtract 3 players that left after the first year and divide those stars left by 6 and get about #50?

See your not looking at the logical picture with your link, bro.

then consider yourself lucky. DMac was injured as was FJ last year a good deal of the time. Peyton Hillis was injured the previous year. The year before that, Fred Talley was injured. Cedric Cobbs was injured a few times.

RB is an injury prone position especially in schools that use a power running game.

I can't say that he pushed him down....it may have been a damn good acting job.... but the main thing that is indisputable is that the WR had 2 hands on the CB's back and both his arms went from bent to extended while his hands never came off the CB's back.... that, my friend, is PI and should be called every time no matter what.

Ummmm.... I was there and the CB remained standing until he brought London Crawford to the ground after the catch.

hey....i just figured out the answer to the entire Arky vs Nutt arguement.....

It's Arky's fault...all of it..

it was the arky fan who said he fell down...

PI isn't a penalty for pushing someone down......it's for PUSHING someone PERIOD

Your defender slowed and stopped and lost his balance on that play when they both realized it was going to be a jump ball which made it seem Crawford gained an advantage by the extension of his arms. Crawford and the defender should have been allowed to make a play for the ball. Crawford was put into that position by the actions of the defender to prevent Crawford from making a play on the ball. If anything it should have been a no call.

was a jump ball, crawford DID gain an advantage by extending his arms.

but PI doesn't state anything about gaining an advantage...if the WR pushes the CB INTO the path of the ball.....it's still pass interference.

Pank, all I did was name the RB's we have had injured through the years. Would you prefer that I look for RB's across the nation last year? I'm way to lazy too list people like:

Beany Wells OSU
Jorvorskie Lane TAMU
Omari Walker BC
Brad Lester AU

That's not even remotely the end of the list of RB's who went down last year. shite happens and to blame injuries on the coaches is silly in a great deal of cases. Mind you, sometimes it is their fault, but to go down during a play gone wrong in practice happens all the time in all levels of football.

Don't mistake my belief that it wasn't a PI in that I think we would have won...Tejada was a head case and would have missed the fg anyway

You ever seen a PI called on a hail mary at the end of the half? I haven't...

we've had too many injuries at tailback. all of our tailbacks have had major leg injuries since Petrino arrived . Nutt kept and keeps tailbacks much healthier. That is a big part of the reason we lost to kentucky last year. We didn't have an experienced back ready and Barnett was hurt and they couldn't develop Gregory like Nutt would have.

so explain the Kentucky loss the year before then at home with DMAc and Felix out at the end of the half, Michael Smith in.

And then Nutt in his typical deflection scenario throws Smith under the buss for using a gas card a buddy gave him erroneously and compares that to fumbling the ball. You stay classy Nutt.

You are truly clueless when it comes to health of Rb's under Nutt. Hell he blamed the whole end of 06 on the loss of Peyton, and DMac was hobbled in the SECCG....please stop, you making it too easy to bust your ignorant arse

dude which team are you for? you sound like one of Nutt's graduate assistants. You suck go back to whatever crack you crawled from.

Backs will not be a problem this coming year and I believe the Arkansas - Ole Miss game will be one hell of a fight in oxford.

Hawg,

We got money riding on you in the SEC Rant Thunderdome in Oxford this year. We're pooling you guys together, and you are going to beat the piss out of each other. You in?

OmLandshark sorry to bring this topic back to life but about your suicide suggestions. What do you think about drilling a hole into the side of your head with a power tool while a chinese announcer provides play by play. What rating would it receive?

you capture alot of quotes from the coaches and players around that time and spin it into a story.

arkansas was beat by the same Kentucky team that was the only other team in 07 to beat the eventual national champs. Kentucky had a great qb, Andre Woodson at Qb that made alot of plays in that game. It seems like Dmac broke some ribs in that game and was slowed but i'd have to go back and look. I think there were also 1 or 2 costly turn overs. It was a bad game but Kentucky has a bigger athletic budget than we do so it's no big upset if we lose to them.
