Sankey was a moron for not agreeing to a bigger playoff. The SEC would be loaded this year in a big playoff. Instead you’ll get 4 teams in and maybe 5 if Sankey gets on his knees like he did last year. But since those 5 teams choked it will be hard for the committee to diss others in the SEC’s favor again. With a real possibility of Miami and Louisville going undefeated that’s 2 slots. If ND’s only loss is to Miami that’s 3 slots vs. only 1 last year. The add Indiana and Ohio St and a Big 12 team and a G5 team and that’s only 1 more slot for a 3rd BIG or a 5th SEC. The committee would definitely give the spot to the conference that has won 3 in a row. That’s why I’ve never understood SEC fans not rallying behind a 24 team playoff. That ship has sailed and now it’s just a matter of how many years will good teams be left out until we get it.
