I think it's smart. Leavitt is coming off injury and Lane is hedging his bets. At the very least LSU has their 2027 starter with a year in the system under his belt.

Yeah and gives plenty of time to see if 3rd one (Landen) can rise to the level of play in this conference. But hell he looks good too

I think this was a big drawing point for him. Along with having Louisiana ties it just made sense.
