I am now full blown RED at these basketVOLS so I would argue a fair bit has changed.

A lot of missed opportunities as all 5 lost to inferior opponents with the possible exception of Bama.

If Tennessee, Bama, and Florida all continue to falter down the stretch, the perception of the league is going to take a hit. Not sure how many we'll actually get into the tournament anymore. Bama and Florida are not locks by any means.

Very debatable. UK was favored by 5.

Play along man, play along.

Good conferences always end up eating their own a bit.
Everyone except Aubarn seems to be Jekyl and Hyde this season.
It’s still a strong conference.
Losing McLemore will sting a bit for AU though.
Still think it will be a great tournament in STL.

I said this last week and missou won some games and declared themselves “great” again.
This sec as a whole is pretty mediocre. Florida is just awful to watch. Nobody wants to be a leader including the coach.
Right now especially the basketball as a whole is just not fundamentally good. Poor decisions everywhere and stupid fouls. It’s bad ball.

All the home teams won. That's pretty remarkable considering that Missouri, Auburn, Tennessee and Florida, in particular, were stronger teams than their respective opponents.

Plus Missouri lost too. Don't forget that.....

Agree that it's not as much a sign of strength as mediocrity. It seems to be the case outside the SEC as well. ACC is no powerhouse this year.

I would include AU as a possibility to falter down the stretch as well. Losing Mclemore is going to hurt pretty bad and with Bryce hurting as well, we could lose 2/3 against healthy Bama, at Florida, and at Arky. Or hell, maybe all three, dunno.

A lot of wind was knocked out of Auburn’s sails due to the Mclemore injury unfortunately. Just like in football, our team is good enough to make noise, but not enough competitive depth to sustain our success throughout the season. This team makes me wonder how good we’d be if we never lost Wiley and Purifoy.

It was a good day for some teams

Yep. The sun still comes up, and Missouri still sucks.
