i'm wondering where all of the bragging is coming from when you guys haven't yet finished in the top 5 in the sec.
It's almost like it's been 2 years and 1 game since A&M joined the SEC with a 7-6 Big 12 squad picked to not even make a bowl game for years.
Spare me the "havent won" bullshite. We weren't supposed to have won 20 games in 5 years let alone 20 in two. After that "anomaly" was explained away as just a phenom JFF out of nowhere, A&M promptly dismantled a top 10 team on the road with a brand new QB. The rant created this beast with all the shite talk so now you have to deal.

Excuse me if I care about national ranking over conference ranking.

Bragging about beating the odds stacked against you.

I dunno about you but id rather go 10-3 and finish 2nd in the SECW/top 15 in the AP than go 11-2 and finish #5 in the AP/3rd in SECW.

the old aggie fans I know have seen some rough times over the years. they have had their heart broken most of their lives and when they were good under j sherril and rc slocum the ncaa swooped in and caught 'em doing bad stuff and took the good times away. you really can't blame them for being pretty damn exuberant about the possibilities they face currently. imo, your UT buddy is wrong as hell about these guys (even though they drive me crazy with their "were gonna do this, we're gonna do that talk).
the young aggie fans? well, they're just being like most young fans; arrogant and obnoxious. they have no sense of history. it's best to just be silent and forgive the young and remember that one day, they too will be able to see the bigger picture.

Better chance of making playoffs in my scenario.

No, he is just really butthurt. Soon that will fade, their fanbase will diminish and atrophy, and they will never again be what they once were.
A lesson in arrogance. Delivered by Texas AMC

I think you're worried because you know TAMU will replace LSU in the West eventually.
LSU will be relegated to 4th in West - trading places with Arky every third year to 5th.
Arky fans say it's not so bad, they've learned to love the little things in cfb life.

I am in exile on the wrong side of the Sabin River also and my experience is that I much prefer the aggie fan than the UT fan. I agree they wear aggie everything but I don't see that as an inferiority complex. one old guy held his aggie senior ring up to me like he was the pope and I was supposed to kiss it one time. it took everything I had not to bust out laughing. I just found it funny as hell that a guy in his 70's or so would still be wearing his senior ring and showing it off like it was something magic.
