Life was a lot harder then than now. My Grandad was born in 1912. He lived thru watching his dad go off to WWI, was a teenager when the Great Depression broke out...was a 29 year old man when WWII broke out, and by the time I cam along in 1968, he was a 56-year-old man who looked 20 years older. I was fortunate to have had him on Earth as long as I did. He was 86 when he died in 1998....and I was 30.
