line up and outsmart

He didn't seem to have a problem 'outsmarting' Kriby and Saban to the tune of 630 yards and 44 points. But it's all just because he was fast, right?

What beats Bama

Well, there is not a lot of supporting data thankfully.

The reason our defense has struggled the past few seasons can be explained pretty easily..... We had either zero experience at corner or didn't have te nfl talent we've had there in the past. When Saban's defense can't rely on corners to take care of business, it can be exploited.

If a team has any offense whatsoever Auburn will roll over and blow their coverage on purpose so the offense can get back on the field because that's all Gus Malzahn knows how to coach. "Alright guys we're gonna run the exact same play 60,000 times in one game as fast as possible because I actually have no idea how to line up and outsmart someone so I have to call a game like the 13 year whose parents bought them Madden"
I am going to go out on a limb here and say this definitely sounded better in your head.

With that being said we were still either the second or best team in the nation last year

TCU would have beaten the everliving frick out of your slow, lethargic, tubs of shite if that game would have occurred. Absolute zero shot of beaten them. Stupid frick.

So it stands to reason that TCU would have solidly beaten Ohio State as well?

Ohio St was better across the board than Alabama. TCU vs Ohio St would have been an excellent matchup. I tend to favor the power run team in those matchups..

Ohio St beat Bama pretty soundly. Urban douched out throwing that pass.. game should have ended on a knee.

I don't think "across the board" but Alabama would have had trouble with their offense as well.

We are as deep as anyone in the country, but our secondary continues to have issues. Until that's fixed, we will continue to have shootouts. But I do like the young talent we have assembled there.

Bama stacked Ohio St was just really good last year.. and ridiculously clutch.

McClain and Hightower were two monster lb's that can run and we likely won't see better college lb's again, as good hopefully, but not better. Add to that some lockdown corners and enough pressure and you get a great defense.

We have missed on the cornerbacks these last few years and don't have the dominant nose and lb's just don't have the same step. Plus the teams that beat us play their best and we are still right in it at the end of every single game.

I guess we have "declined" but it's like going from a 99 to a 95 IMO

- not to mention that 2011 team, which lost a game and didn't win the sec, had a lot of the same people from 2010. CFB is tough, the breaks need to go your way am you certainly can't win them all
