It amazes me how little some of y'all know about CFB! #1 recruiting classes don't mean shite if them players are not coached up. Jacobs was recruited by 2 schools, Tulsa and Bama. He was 4th on the depth chart when he got here but with hard work and coaching, he developed into a 1st rounder.

We can add Eddie Jackson to that list. W/o injury, he would've been a first rounder.

If Greedy was under Saban he would have learned toughness and may have gotten drafted yesterday
And then in camp they would bitch about him not knowing any technique and out of work after the contract was up.

Well when you throw that many 5*s (who are already predicted to end up in the NFL) on a team together then alot are going to make the 1st round. Saban isn't some wiz at making nobodies into 1st round draft picks. He rarely even makes average players into anything. Before the Bama recruiting classes he wasn't producing much of anything (not a coincidence). He waste alot of 5*s and very few players weren't overtalented before Saban even met them.

Of the 33 drafted in the 1st round, 14 were 5 stars. Most were 4 stars. Yes they were talented but outside of Julio, they were not ready for the NFL and they definitely would not have went in the 1st round without Saban's coaching.

Now do percentage of 5 stars that end up at Alabama.

LOL. What a dumbass

Yes, Alabama gets more 5 star recruits than any other team, but the point of the 247 article is that a larger, much larger percentage of the 5 star recruits at Alabama have been drafted in the first round.

dumb dumb dumb

No other team, ever, has won 5 national titles in 10 years. Well, at least not since 1900. I haven't checked the 1800s.

Of course you didn't. Yale won 8 out of 10 and 13 out of 20 right at the end of the 1800s.

ha. It just occurred to me that the Raburn dude is a bitter old fart. 1957 was the last year Auburn won a national tile, before they bought Cam Newton.

Well no one remembers the last one Bama won without a head coach with a staff that wasnt busted for cheating. Saban's and Stallings both were.

You have the top recruiting class ever year. You're the best ever to do it. I believe most coaches could have just as many 1st rounders if they didn't want a personal life outside of football. But lets not act like Saban is really producing 1st rounders. Most of them were already destined to be one before Saban.

You need to talk to some NFL coaches and you'll see why....I did with Coach Jim Haslett and he let me know fast about Saban's influence.
