One of the many things you struggle to understand...

If you looked at LSU's team and really analyze the match ups and weaknesses against other teams, I just don't see how they are rated so highly.
I'm going to assume you said this without actually doing it yourself.

Bama is picked to win the west--not LSU. So are they overrated too?

I have no problem with this statement. Where you went off the fricking reservation is when you said LUCKY to go 7-5. That's just so fricking stupid.

Breakdown of Oregon-LSU game.
When Oregon has ball- Oregon is all about run game and always will be. LSU is replacing DT's and best LB in Sheppard. Also Oregon is replacing some O-Line and WR's. The difference is Thomas. I think he makes a big jump in second year at starter and has a big game. LSU lacks the stong push inside to disrupt Oregon's read offense. Thomas will have enough time to look at defense and make right decision. Advantage- Oregon
When LSU has ball- If LSU is going to win they have to score points. I think they might score between 20-27 points but I don't think it will be enough. LSU should have a big advantage running the ball behind experienced O-Line and talented group of backs. It comes down to Jefferson and I say he makes enough mistakes to offset LSU's powerful run game.- Advatage-LSU slightly
I say Oregon wins 35-24.
And how many did Oregon score on Auburn, genius
16 phucking points
What is the most Oregon has scored in their entire history against LSU ... 17
So where do their 35 points come from!
THIS EARLY IN THE SEASON ... First game ... Advantage Defense

bigorange, here is a little breakdown of that Oregon blowout game you keep talking about:
OREGON - brings back their QB, RB, and return 2 offensive linemen on offense. On defense, they return 2 of their front 7 on defense and will only have 2 of the 4 secondary members from last years team against us. That also includes losing their best corner for the game in Cliff Harris.
LSU - brings back their QB, 2 WR, TE and 4 starters on the O-line. On defense we will bring back 7 starters and a bunch of other guys that saw a ton of action last year. Will we miss Nevis, Peterson and Sheppard? Of course, but I actually think that our defense will be overall faster which will make it better equipped to deal with a fast team like Oregon. I really believe that we are not only going to win this game, but win it big and the reason is that if there is one thing that most people know about Les Miles is that if you give him time to prepare for a team, his teams usually come out way on top. Just my opinion, but I do see us really dominating this game.

Yeah so auburn held them to 16? What's that matter when it comes to LSU? Using your argument Oregon had a better defense than anyone in SEC last year because they held the Auburn offense in check.

Whydoes everybody think LSU is going to have a great D-Line? Sure Montgomery is a stud, but the DT's aren't anything special. The D-Line is just average besides Montgomery.

Mingo, Adams, Edwards, Brockers all go pretty unnoticed. Freak is already at the top of the strength charts and he's been here since the spring. The college game won't be totally new to him. If you were trying to talk shite about our LBs I'd be with you but not the d-line. They're as deep as ever.

Tell me why your D-Line is so special then? Don't just say your stupid. Here is your chance to make your argument. By just replying that im stupid, makes my argument for me.

Sure all those players are SEC caliber players. But they aren't anything special, do you really think they are gonna dominate a game like Florida's 06 D-Line or Auburn last year? D-Line is decent but Arkansas,Miss State,South Carolina, and Alabama all have better D-Lines.

I'll take that bet all fricking day long.
