God everyone is getting bitchy toward Georgia lately. I had the misfortune of listening to Paul Finebaum today and even gumps and barners are getting all pissy about Georgia.

Idk why were hyped, I guess the schedule, but odds are way better that a down UGA would win the SEC east than South Carolina repeating.

Gahhhhhhh

They have no new pieces, other than a easy schedule, to make them improve. I just dont see it either...

They have been on the decline for the past three years. Why now, with no new pieces and losing the best player on the team, can they win it all.

I also dont buy it.

We do. John Jenkins. He will be the reason our D will be much improved this year. Also our QB is going to be better, our rb's should hold their own, and our special teams is tops in all the land! Oline will make or break us and only time will tell.

You have no clue how Jenkins will be. Though he should be good, we dont know. Murray will be great. Hell, he was great last year. Problem is, who is he going to throw to. And if the running game does not exist, like the last few years, nobody is going to buy it. Which will shut down the pass.

The defense should be better but there was no real reason for it to suck the past two years. Lots and lots of talent.

Im not hating on UGA.. They are actually my second favorite team. I just cant see what has changed to make them a favorite.

UGA didn't beat our worst team in 20 years. I know they will be better but we will too by the time we play them.

Having said that, our schedule is brutal and theirs is not. They should do better than us even if we beat them unless we shock the world.

I honestly see what your saying. I disagree with our receivers , they aren't our issue, but our RBs and OL are really hard to pin. Our defense will be way improved because they are now a little more comfortable in the system and now we have not 1 but 2 true NGs.

That being said we get this shite every year. Maybe it's because we're so close to ATL, maybe it's cause we are typically a talented team but UGA is perennially higly ranked preseason. Do I think we deserve it? Hell no. Will I take it? Hell yea. It's always nice to start high in the polls. Problem is Georgia is never "underrated". Either we are overrated or spot on and it has been that way at least all through the 2000s. Way I see it is either we are gonna kick some arse or if richt fails yet again the media will be so pissed they were duped for a 3rd straight year and will crucify richt.

Then how can you claim they have no new pieces since we don't know how good any of these players will be? They have star recruits who will contribute a ton at HB, DE and NT.

I guess whats wild is, one report says its UGA to the BCS. Another has them ranked out of the top 25. Why such a big difference?

I have sources, you know they are real too, that say you guys are having issues catching the football right now. Meaning no one has stepped up... Its hard to believe with the amount of great receivers you have had over the years. We will see....

Hell, I hope they go and win it all. But after watching them fall the past few years, I would have to see some major changes to make it to the big game. You have a simple schedule but you still have to beat USCe and Florida.

If you look at the past few years, a tough schedule has not been the issue. Losing to Colorado, Kentucky, etc....

I said it earlier this summer, that first game is the most crucial of the year for UGA. Though it is not a conference game, it will set the stage for your season. Lose to Boise and the team and program will fall apart. Kick their arse and it could bring something you have been missing for two years. Confidence.

Ok, no known new pieces. Jenkins is unknown at this point. They have never been short on defensive athletes. This season is no different.

No I agree and most fans I feel would, Boise is big. Thus team is a wild card which only adds to there alure. Honestly I don't even think richt knows how we'll look. I refuse to make a season prediction on our W/Ls because this team could win 10-11 as easily as lose 5-6. Depends on our OL and if richt can regain any swagger.

Also, I'm not too worried about our WRs honestly, we have bigger issues.

Why do florida fans continue to use this line, without acknowledging that that was our worst team in 15 years? It was 2 bad football teams playing against each other. It's not like it was our best squad in decades losing to your crap team.
