He knew all this shite before he accepted the scholarship. If you think he should tuck tail maybe y'all can go hold each other.

If the sole obsession of your life for 50 years or so was to bring destruction to a specific person or entity, and you focused your energy to that end, chances are you would be fairly successful at it.

Its a possibility that, if SOS had spent a little less time obsessing over bringing hurt to UGA and a little more time focusing on overall coaching, he may have won more than a single title while at UF.

Of course, with your handle, I can see that reality, logic and reason don't have any place in your life, so you have fun with that.

Edit: Also, Clowney needs to be cut loose if he is faking it, and cut some slack if he isn't. I think he is sandbagging but, I am not inside his head, so I cant say for sure. I DO think its telling that his HC seems to think the same.

And tell us all about your titles during that time. Maybe your coaches should've spent time focused on coaching.

Can or will he ever make another big play? How about big plays thru out the game? How about big plays thru out the season?

Meh... He's being a pussy and not thinking of his team at all. I've never been in his shoes of course but if I was the president of a NFL team I wouldn't risk wasting a high draft pick on a player that I couldn't depend on.

Our coaches during that time should have focused on not being Goff and Donnan. Neither of them could coach their way out of a wet paper bag. SOS is one of the greatest coaches in CFB history. I never said he wasn't an amazing coach. Just that he has always been a little too focused on UGA.

I don't know. It's clearly boneheaded and selfish for him to basically just abandon his team for fear of not getting the big payday but if he stays in good shape, has a solid combine, and gives good answers in his interviews, he is a lock for a top 5 pick. You are right, he will get grilled on why he sold out his team but that's an out he can spin with ease knowing his buddy Lattimore got fricked out of millions with his injury.

Spurrier is an old fashioned coach...they don't make them like that anymore...he cut his teeth in the days of Bear, Dooley, Dye and many others.

He doesn't coddle players...hates it...but he realizes in todays society that kids are all about instant gratification. That NFL $$ will dry up and so many ex players are flat out broke. With all the agents, the paternity suits from women they hardly knew and taxes they learn the hard way.

No one can take away your pride and memories of doing the right thing. Football is a team sport like no other but college football is now $$$$. I was hoping Clowney wouldn't fall victim to the hype of the media...but college campus life is full of sharks that are paid runners for agents and such. They get in the ear of players like Clowney...let alone family members who see the pot of gold out there. Sad.
Next year there will be another player who will be followed around and crowned Heisman front runner...its insane.
