And in 5 years, my vehicle is paid off. You, meanwhile, own nothing. All the while you are limited on the number of miles you're actually allowed to drive. You are doing nothing but renting a vehicle perpetually.

Awesome! You would have spent 55k for a car that you own that is valued at about 23-25k and just in time to start paying for all those wear and tear repairs. In the meantime, I paid 25k over that same period and then get a brand new car with payments about 1/3 of payment to purchase. And I don’t have to hassle with car repairs costs that increase drastically after 5 years.
Mileage isn’t an issue for me, I drive under 10k every year. We use my husband’s truck to go everywhere.
