Agreed. I was shocked at how many pass plays they tried

The rest of us do too. But the problem is deeper than play calling. It's a problem of identity. Bama is no longer anywhere near the meanest, toughest team in the conference, much less the country.

The gameplan since the bye week has been baffling.

Daboll's motto: if it ain't broke, break it.

You saw how the game plan went from the start of the 3rd quarter with all the runs. After that, QB draws and short passes.

Screw him. Don’t like how he treats the media when they ask him questions at press conferences. I’d tell him off.

Is it him or Saban going with Jalen over Tua? That is something to. You ask why we don't run more. Well I ask if we gonna throw alot, we need to have a qb that can throw it good enough to have some completions.

Funny how this team had the exact same issues with Kiffin as the OC last year. Maybe Hurts should try to give up the rock a little more when running the zone reads instead of keeping it all the time.

If you run passes he should have put the passing qb in the game to pass.
Start of the 4th. Put in the freshman in to shake things up. By then you were beat with Hurts running the offense anyway.

Couldn't run consistently up the middle and AU would have adjusted to running outside by the RBs. He was trying not to put Hurts in a lot of third and long situations. The problem wasn't playcalling, it was the OL.

Maybe. But I would have kept running it until AU adjusted. Bama just stopped running for the heck of it.

The offense isn’t balanced.

Kiffin was able to make the offense balanced

I seem to remember a lot of Bammers bitching that Kiffin didn’t run enough against Oklahoma in the second half.
