Why would he want to see all of his hard work go to hell because some jackass coach comes in behind him and screws it up?
I dont think he does but again thats about Nick Saban, not Alabama

I mean do you "love" your employer?
Well, I'm an entrepreneur, so yes.

That said, I doubt Saban views Alabama as "his employer". He likely views the program as his own company and he runs it as he thinks will yield him the best results. He has a clear and obvious connection to the community. He's developed friendships over the past 11 years here - a place he's been 2x as long as anywhere else. He moved his mother from WV to Bham to live in a very nice retirement community. He's got a Mercedes dealership where his children work, in Bham. His grandchild lives in Bham.
I don't think it's far fetched to say his life has drastically evolved and changed in the last 11 years and he feels some unique tie and care for the area in which all that took place, the people who were along for the ride, etc.

it's so bizarre many of you have this need to feel as though your coaches "loves" you. Coach O is from Louisiana and I have no illusions that he really thinks LSU is any different than being to coach at say Miami or USC.

Trump loves us and this country. You believe that don't you? Saban is no different

It's so odd that you have this need to feel as though Saban couldn't possibly have a connection to some place. He's established roots here, man. He may or may not "love" Alabama, but he's certainly made some pretty clear decisions to make this where his life is. As a result, it isn't exactly a stretch to assume that he has a connection here unique from the other places he left in 5 years or less.
As for Ed, I have zero doubt that if he was offered Miami, USC, and LSU all in the same off season, he'd choose LSU 10x out of 10. He does have a connection there that is unique.
I also think Dabo has a connection to Clemson & Bama that would be unique from any other place. If USC, Miami, Clemson, and Bama all wanted Dabo at the same time and offered identical money, he'd knock the choices down to Bama and Clemson in a nanosecond. To think coaches - who are, in face, people - don't have quality of life/connection to community preferences is silly.

It's more i just think it's funny how naive some of you are

no he'd narrow it down to Bama in a nanosecond

You've proven my point in that one sentence. You said even Ed doesn't think there is a difference in coaching at LSU, Miami, or USC. And he's from LA you said. So why would Dabo think Bama is different than Clemson? And, if Dabo were to think Bama would be more desirable for him than Clemson, why too couldn't/wouldn't Saban be capable of having a similar thought that he'd prefer to coach at Bama as opposed to some other place?

Lol, when Saban is ready to retire, he won't give 2 fricks about who takes over at Bama.
He owes them nothing.
He owes them nothing.

Grew up in Alabama and played for Alabama.
Saban grew up in West Virginia and played at Kent State. Childhood/alma matter connections are a different thing obviously. But even then it's not hard and fast, see Vince Dooley and DKR

LSU fans have such a jilted ex complex. They just can't stand the fact their ex moved on and met someone better.

Nick Saba does not give two shits who follows him at Bama or if they ever win another game after he leaves.
Exactly. When Saban puts Tuscaloosa in the rear view, that will likely be the last time he thinks about Alabama until he gets a call 10 years later to appear at the 50 so people can applaud.

Saban will go down a s the greatest college coach ever.
If you think te level of play will not fall of when he leaves you are retarded.

I believe Saban will coach until being named the AD at UA.
He will hire and fire his successor.
