How is that getting your arse kicked? Your "elite" offenses have inflated numbers because nobody in the big 12 plays defense

4 of the top 25 scoring offenses are SEC.
3 of the top 25 scoring offenses at Big12

2 of the top 25 scoring defenses are Big12.

The team you’ll play ranks 3rd in scoring defense and 21st in scoring offense.

How cute. Is that what you think is happening?

Hahaha hah

It will be a good game.
But OU fans are losing the pregame debates.

Are you seriously comparing Hawaii to OKLAHOMA? That is probably the most stupid thing I have ever read on a football message board, and buddy, that is saying a lot.

Well you motherfrickers have been comparing 2015 Tennessee to 2017 Georgia all over the god damned internet.

Call it. Stop the fight. These Oklahoma frickers are dumb but they might have families so we need to stop this fight.

On landthieves , they were comparing themselves to hawaii.

"Best offense in all of college football in over a decade. Best since hawaii and colt brennan"

This Georgia/Oklahoma game is starting to feel a lot like the Sugar Bowl match up between UGA and Hawaii several years ago.

I'll never forget that game.

When did the "overrated" chants get started in that one? Wasn't it late in the 3rd Quarter?

Except, Missouri has the #7 total offense and we beat them by 27 points.

Also, Miss st had 10 ranked defense and Auburn had 14 ranked defense and we scored 28 & 31.

Don’t get your feelings hurt if we put up 50+ and you put up 28.

Reading landthieves for the first 2 weeks in January will be glorious.

What national championship team gave up the most points on defense? That would be the 2010 Auburn Tigers.

Don’t give us XII peeps lectures about crap defense when the Champ on the subject hails from the SEC.

Guess what though? Auburn went 14-0 behind a great offense. They could afford to give up points.

Oklahoma has a damn fine offense. We know our defense isn’t great, but they can still do enough. As long as Mayfield & Co. put up their numbers, the defense can give up some.

Don’t bring up 2010, my points were all based on his season.

If 1-11 Baylor can put up 41 points, then you are in for some trouble.

SEC fans pride themselves historically on great defense. In reality, it’s Alabama that’s known for consistent great defense. Others have their moments but aren’t on the same level year after year.

All that really matters is the Rose Bowl Game. Georgia and Oklahoma got there for a reason. Anything can happen in the game.

This isn’t Mark Richt vs. Bob Stoops. This is Riley vs. Smart; two different animals with 3 years combined head coaching experience.

Both teams are 12-1 and deserving of their rankings.

The X factor will be how the young coaches manage the game and special teams.

College is different than the NFL. In college, you win by running the football and stopping the run. Despite 2010 Auburn's defensive flaws, they were solid against the run. Solid in the trenches.
2010 Auburn: 14th nationally in yards per rush. They were average (not bad) in conference with 12 rushing TDs allowed in conference play.

Offensively, they were amazing with 41 rushing TDs which allowed a national championship with a better than average defense.

Correct. The typical things that win games will come into play on 1/1.
Turnovers
Red zone efficiency
Special teams
Tackling on the play

Georgia has the added element of not giving up the homerun play (deep shots like against Missouri or being too aggressive against screens like TDSOR).
