Say they beats Georgia and the Bama game is close that puts them at 11-1

Top 10 Miami win

Top 10 Auburn win

Top 2 Georgia win (hypothetical)

Top 25 Miss St (hypothetical)

Top 25 Texas AM (hypothetical)

They will have the strongest SOS and probably the best resume.

Oklahoma will drop one and Pac 12 will eat each other.

I really "can" see LSU sliding into 4th. We give them chit because a certain faction of LSU posters but they really could have a special season.

***Only reason I give Bama that game in Red Stick despite home field advantage is that at some point playing your defense into 4th quarter against inferior competition will bite you.

There’s a long way to go but a second sec team is not impossible as we’ve already seen. Scenario applies to Georgia, LSU and Auburn too and I predict all 3 will lose to Bama prior to the playoffs.

Real talk why does every post you make you try to spin a certain way. It okay to talk a little football here and there. Bama will be fresh and LSU would have played 3 Top 10s by then. I actually like LSU no need to try tard' up each thread.

I know only one way

I want to go fast baw

Real talk your hypothetical isn't indepth football talk

Basically what if a team that was 3pts better than La Tech in the 3rd quarter runs the table almost?

The "slide" in without winning you conference is reserved for Bama. Not a troll Bama has recent pedigree to pull it off. Depending on situation bigger struggle for LSU

Didn’t Ohio State also get in without playing for their conference championship? It’s not JUST for Bama

So let's kill this.... the nation doesn't hate LSU in fact one of LSU championship was because voters felt like LSU was the best team that year of the BCS with 2 losses. How many times has LSU finished better than their presason rankings in last 10 years? Win and create benefit of doubt. You to quick troll and not talk football.

Apparently the SEC has around a 40% chance to get 2 teams in the playoffs this year.

All other conferences have 1% or less chance.

No you didn't but LSU will this year if the scenario plays out as I described. LSU has good possible great team this year. What I'm saying those years Bama proved they deserved to be there. It could be that type of year for LSU.

Here are the only constants in the Playoff so far:

No team has gotten in with more than one loss.

SEC and ACC champion have never been left out.

Loser of a conference title game has never gotten in.

Big 12 teams not named Oklahoma have never gotten in.

Big 12 is the only winless conference in the playoff.

People will complain that LSU backdoored our way into the playoffs but not many teams look that good this year.

Outside of Bama, nobody truly knows who the next 3 teams could be.

It would depend a lot on the other conferences having 2-loss champions like last year.

Plus you have to factor in that the committee doesn't look at where a team was ranked when you beat them. Alabama, LSU, aTm, Miss. St., & Auburn all play each other not to mention that Georgia plays Auburn, LSU and (presumably) Alabama. The SEC West will cannibalize each other like last year when there were 4 SEC West teams with 4 or more losses in conference. These teams will knock each other out of the rankings. The resume just won't look as good as you are supposing.

Miami may still be Top 10 at the end of the year. The ACC doesn't look that strong this year.

Auburn would have 2 losses minimum (Alabam/LSU) plus they have Georgia, aTm, and Miss. St. on the schedule.

Georgia would also have a minimum of 2 losses - LSU and then Alabama in the championship. Plus they have to play Auburn.

Miss. St. would have a minimum of 3 losses (Kentucky/LSU/ Alabama) and they still have Auburn and aTm.

Texas A&M would have a minimum of 3 losses (Clemson/Alabama/LSU) without looking at the games against Auburn and Miss. St.

I just don't think that Auburn, aTm, and Miss St. will all still be Top 25 when the committee does their final rankings.
