2021. Bo Nix.
Unfortunately, he played behind an OL that was horrible and had receivers who were comparably bad as a unit.

He went on to light it up at Oregon, and now plays in the NFL.

Our problems have been much deeper than the QB position for a long time.

Wasn’t Nix benched during that season? Was Freeze the coach or Harsin?

Hugh Freeze is an absolute clown. A cartoonish person. The fact that Auburn hitched their program to this buffoon after the Harsin disaster should be a massive indictment on everyone involved in that program for the last however many years. The people calling the shots don't have a clue.

He got hurt late in the season in 2021, the first of two years of the potato famine at AU.

He transferred to OU after that season because he wanted to survive without being mauled week after week.

What a bust the class of 2023 has been so far. Top 3 QBs were Arch, Nico, and Jackson Arnold. And Arnold was the #1 rated player in TX.

QB eval out of HS is a complete mess. There have been a ton of 5-star busts at QB the last few years, and conversely guys who were not highly rated doing big things. I think the level of competition greatly distorts things. Arch Manning being the #1 overall player is just insane. And plenty of Louisiana people were predicting him to bust from day 1.

They will play thir arse off against their big brother.

It will not matter because we have leaders like TY that knows when to bitch at or when to motivate, encourage a teamate.

Bama still needs to get a running game.

They had a good one in Bo Nix, but chased him off.

Always do...the game is usually the only opportunity they have to salvage their season in some way.

Yeah, that OLine is a major problem. And receivers with bad hands.

Bo actually graduated from Auburn, before he left for Oregon. Had eligibility left as a graduate student, and made the most of a new environment.

It 100% is not our whole season.

Recently our whole season has been over before October.

Life as an Auburn football fan flat out sucks. Once in a blue moon we have an excellent season which makes us all forget the norm… only to be quickly brought back to broken.

In truth most Auburn fans have been apathetic about football since around 2018 although few will actually admit such.

For me personally, it started on October 14, 2017 when Gus “4 loss” Malzahn gave up a 3 TD lead at LSU
