How would you make the SEC a better basketball conference?

I know the SEC looks better this season, but we will still only get 5 or 6 teams in the tourney. Looking at the SEC...
Top teams:
UK - dominating as always. Look to be in good shape for the future.
LSU - pulling in some great recruits. Could be a power next season. Just gotta hope Jones doesn't screw up. But with that talent, would he even have to coach that much?
Arkansas - good team now. Need Malik Monk and would be a top team.
Ole Miss - makes the most out of nothing. Would be exciting to see what AK and Moody could do with some top tier talent. Have struggled lately but have proven they can compete with top teams.
These are really the only teams I think are "elite" SEC teams. I.e. Could win a few tourney games. UGA and Aggies are good too, and you can make the case for them both to be in the top 4.
So what would you do? Add another good basketball school? That was Missouri's job, but we see how that worked. Would you try and get the NCAA to kill AAU? It seems to be killing the talent in the country since they don't teagh fundamentals.

Get rid of Kentucky for parity.

Not add schools like Mizzou to the conference

Not hire maniacs like Frank StrokedOut Martin

A&M b ball is on the rise. This year has been surprisingly successful, but next year should be filthy good. We're bringing in a Top 5 recruiting class, and all our main contributors should be back from this year's team.

ummmm,...is eliminating basketball an option? or maybe we can state a bball league populated with scholarship football players? That would probably draw more fan interest in the SEC

Seems like we should kick Florida out since they aren't elite.

Just wait another year or two, have some patience.
The rule changes coming (shot clock to 30, extending arc another foot) are going to benefit a lot of SEC teams.
Alabama needs to get a good hire with an uptempo game as well.
You'll have Arkansas going as fast as possible with OM, UK, Auburn, and hopefully Bama as teams that will get up and run as well. Some good coaches, with pretty good facilities.

Ole Miss has 2 sweet 16s in their history, and 0 conference championships excluding the tournaments. Calling them one of the SEC "elite" is absurd, especially when you leave out UF. The SEC will most likely always struggle because star basketball players generally want to be the stars on campus. That happens at schools like UNC, Duke, UK, and Syracuse. They are pretty much afterthoughts at most SEC schools.

Well, since we just destroyed UT, I guess we'll be escorting you out first.

I was referring to today. Florida is not elite as of today.

Ole Miss has never been elite.
