Texas is one of the most underachieving programs in the country. If they had a Saban/Miles/Urban type coach that could evaluate talent they'd be in a title hunt every other year. It'd be Miami in the 80's all over again.

They would be very, very good. Everybody would hate the shite out of them...and for very good reason.

Texas uses related recruiting services to rate guys which aren't really as good as advertised. It's ironic and dumb, but their offense is atrocious.

Sips are soft and their fan base is soft.

The Big Turd conference is the SWC2. It's a marginalized joke of a conference which is largely regional in nature now and has little interest compared to the other major conferences.

You must be a Texan transplanted to Auburn. This is what I would expect them to say. Total BS, by the way.

We already have a team with a strong sense of entitlement in the SEC, we don't need two.

Right now Texas would be behind LSU and Alabama in the SEC west. They would battle Arkansas for third place though I think Arkansas is a little bit better team right now.

But when Texas is elite like they were three and four years ago they would be a tough team to beat for the SEC championship.

Lets assume SEC West.

No need for the hypothetical. They will lose in Oxford this season.

In a scenario where they left the Big 12 behind like Texas A&M did, but retained the OU game? It would put them at the pinnacle of the college football world. In my opinion they would shine. It would really polarize the Lone Star State behind them even more than it already is, and they would be 1980s Miami-esque. It would completely marginalize the rest of the state(especially Texas A&M) and give college football a national focus that would rival the NFL.

Sucks for them that they are too short sighted and Texas A&M has stopped them from ever reaching that potential.

Thanks and Gig em.

Bama is game with the back and forth... UT gets their slit in a twist if you dare think they aren't the end all be all of football.

In addition, Bama has the right to be arrogant.
