You can't remove the bias inherent in any subjective evaluation.
So, any year to year comparison is pointless. Outcomes can change game to game based on any variety of variables, let alone one season or era to the next.
Just enjoy what you have if its good, be thankful if its great, and hope for improvement if you suck.

They are #19 in scoring defense and #2 in scoring offense, which is what Tusc is referencing when he says last year LSU was #33 in defense.
I’m fairly certain both of those stats will drop during the playoff but as of right not Alabama has us beat by 2 points per game in scoring defense.
And they have played nothing but bad offenses

I haven’t claimed this Bama team is tGOAT, or even will be if we win out. It will be the greatest season of all time, though, and certainly the best offense of all time.

You almost lost to Texas, who finished the season unranked in 1 poll, and #25 in another. Name brand ranking basically.
You beat Auburn by 3, and Alabama by 5.
Meanwhile, the lowest MoV Nebraska had in 1995 was 14 points. And when they played #2 Florida at the end of the year, they smacked them around 62-24.
There are 2 sides of the ball. LSU was elite on only 1 side of the ball, not both. That's the difference.
