How Will Bama's Lack of Respect for LSU Affect the Way the Tide Plays?

All we've heard out of the Bama camp is,
"They didn't beat us. We beat ourselves."
This is clearly what Bama players/coaches think. How will this perspective affect Bama during the game?
Is it good for Bama or bad for Bama?

This is the normal comeback from them when they lose. Nothing to see here.

If the game was played in our heads we'd win by 100

The fact that they have to keep bringing it up leads one to believe they're quite insecure. Good recipe for mental mistakes on their part. Alabama needs to focus on this game, not Nov. 5th; or they will get run out of the building.

Their lack of respect for LSU will prove them right?
Seriously? So, LSU is not a team to be respected? Wow.
(Edit: My "wow" is responding here only to what I think that you are saying, not what I think Bama players are doing. I actually think that Bama players are trying to get the psychological edge and it could be a really smart thing to do.)

LSU is as guilty of showing Bama no respect as you guys accuse them of being...

Bama respects LSU, they have said this over and over. LSU fans simply choose to ignore it.
And none of this shite will have any bearing on the actual game.

Actually, I don't. I haven't posted here too much over the holidays.
I'm just hearing Bama player after Bama player echo a meme that has come from somewhere (I'm guessing Saban) that Alabama actually won that game but just didn't execute.
Are you saying that Bama players are not saying that? They clearly are.
So, is this attitude helpful for Alabama (gives them confidence and helps them focus on what they need to do), or hurtful (causes them to not adequately prepare for who they are going up against?
I am asking from a Sports Psychology perspective. Saban is big into that stuff, so if he is spewing this perspective, I absolutely believe that it was well thought out. But, will it be effective? Or, will it make Bama too tight?
