I personally like head coaches that have a defensive background.
This ^ a good defense hc is better than offense hc imo. We were always told great D wins championships

IE you will never find an available coach that meets all of 1-6 so prioritize based on your specific circumstance….

Agreed. I actually think the less strings attached the better.

People that have messed up personal lives, eventually it carries over into their job performance.
Has nothing to do with strings, has to do with having integrity, sense of family, etc.

So Bear Bryant would have been ruled out of the Alabama job. Nick Saban would have been ruled out of the LSU job. Bobby Bowden would have been ruled out of the FSU job. And Kirby Smart would have been ruled out of the Georgia job.

Saban again ruled out at Bama based on no OC and record with the Dolphins.
