Flashback to the early/mid 2000s for a second. Here was the CFB landscape :

LSU were kings of CFB.
Alabama was irrelevant and getting their shite pushed in every year.

LSU was CFB royalty and the whole SEC knew it. Alabama, a struggling program that had dwindled to irrelevancy, needed a way back on track.

They looked towards Baton Rouge for guidance. They noticed our damaged goods in Saban had recently left only to find he requires a school with built-in recruiting advantages like LSU or Bama to be successful.

The rest they say is history. These Bama teams took the LSU formula and ran with it. With the additional help of the NCAA and the refs, Bama became a dynasty modeled after those great LSU teams.

You’re welcome gumps, and just remember this :

If it wasn’t for us giving Saban a platform to show how good of a recruiter he is, you dumbasses would still have Mike Shula.

Pretty sure we wouldn't still have Mike Shula.

You do realize Bama fired Mike Shula and almost hired Rich Rod before Saban was ever hired?

USC were kings of College Football. They won 2 AP National Titles back to back. LSU didn't win any AP national titles.

Sorry, I've been told only unanimous titles count. I don't make the rules, I just follow them.

Surprise : Summer of George with misleading statistics that skew towards a certain narrative.

Their success is directly attributed to hiring former LSU coaches, former LA high school coaches, players, trainers, etc etc etc. we should just call them LSUt (LSU @tuscaloosa).

I'm just trying to follow the LSU model of making sure all national titles claimed are air tight and unanimous. I was taught well by the LSU masses during many offseasons that things such as split titles make national titles tainted and add an * to them.

I just figured that same logic applied across the board.

Not mad. It’s like watching your kid grow up. You’re proud of him and the success he’s had, and you know you had a big role in that.

Stopped reading right there. One national championship...with two losses...doesn't make you the "kings of CFB."

Bama had more titles than LSU before Bama hired him. You’re living in a fantasy

Even when your kid usurps your throne, cuts your head off and throws your remains into the Mississippi River?

You are a loving father for sure. That's impressive.
