he would be good in 2005/2006.
Even though he would have had a lot fewer scholarship players than every other school?
He would just outscheme everyone with offensive creativity.
Nope.

First of all let's be honest. I know Alabama fans and most of the SEC Rant does not think this way, but Alabama would of NEVER hired Saban not before proving himself winning in the SEC. LSU hired Saban just a few years prior of beating him and Michigan State with Dinardo as LSU's coach in the mighty Independence bowl. Saban could not even beat the big daddys of the big 10. LSU saw potential in Saban and Saban saw potential in LSU. If Saban would of been beating the big daddy's of the big 10 maybe Bama would of took a chance. LSU was laughed at when first hiring him. I know the SEC Rant does not want to give LSU credit for first hiring him in the SEC but you can't change history. You would have to be a moron if you think Alabama would of hired him at that time in his career at Michigan State.

Just a single title. Leaves Bama for Miami. Bama hires Miles from OSU. Saban takes the LSU job and The rest becomes history.

Coach Saban and Coach Bryant were the only to Alabama coaching hire that had proved themselves before coming to Alabama. Perkins, perhaps, but Curry, Stallings, Dubose, Fran, Shula were all rolls of the dice.....

Your post really pisses me off. If Saban hadn't spent a couple of years in Baton Rouge and given LSU a small taste of relevancy their fans would be so much easier to be around.
Since we have been in the SEC LSU is a perennial 3rd place team.

He would have left after 4 years. The Bama Powers were still in firm control and had not suffered thru the Fran, Price and Shula embarrassments. They would have pushed back on Saban and he would have been gone. Humility was not in their vocabulary before 2000.

Are you an a7m fan..... then STFU!! Your Aggies have been lapping up the 'from under cheese' off damn near every team in the West. So don't act as if you're better. Hell, you and your yell boys would love to make 3rd place one year.
But until someone drops bama, then you just enjoy the view like everyone else.

these type of threads really bring out the bama dumfricks. Of course he could have had similar success or more. the bama fans say no because its literally the only thing they have, so they are very sensitive about it.

Would have less than now because he would have left for the NFL after winning 1-2
