How many titles would Saban have if he left Mich St for Bama instead of LSU?

He would have bolted like Fran did when the sanctions came down

Nah. He would have handled it a lot better than Fran. He would have already built an unbreakable defense by the time the sanctions came down, and he wouldn't have given in to fan pressure to double down on "misfire" Brodie as QB.

One. He would have won one in his first few years, bolted to the dolphins, quit then took the job at LSU and built a dynasty in baton rouge

He wouldn't have any more. In 2000 we were under investigation and no recruits were going to Bama. None. Sanctions came down in 02 and were horrific. 4th worst in history scholarship wise. We didn't have a full 85 man roster filled with experience again until 2008.

Saban would have been a fool to accept that job in the early 2000s.

He would have still gone to the NFL once they came calling. It was something he wanted to do regardless of where he was coaching at the time.

Correct answer is how many would bama have now? Because had saban gone to bama instead of LSU, he'd done the same and left for the NFL.... and all things the same, he still would have gotten his shite pushed in by the league. Only difference is, he wouldn't have won a natty before running to the NFL.

So to answer your question... saban may have landed someplace other than bama, considering he would have left there for the NFL. But I'd say he would be sitting at about 2 right now. Bama on the other hand would be only have maybe 2 since the 2000 season.

About the same. Bama or lsu does not make saban. Saban makes saban. Both schools equal in recruiting potential and facilities as well as support.

He would have 3 or 4 less.

He would have entered a program under serious investigation, had to deal with a severely depleted roster until 2007 or so. He would have had a pretty mediocre record and reputation when he could finally start building a decent roster around 2007 so it would take him 3 years or so to get things to title contention.

I say first title in 2011 or 2012 if he had gone straight to bama and stayed there.

Then Alabama would have been in the same boat as LSU. He would have taken the NFL coaching job no matter which college team he was coaching at, at the time. So therefore Alabama would have had at least 1 title from 2000-2004 before he bolted on yall as well.

Wood have had seasons similar to LSU from 2001 to 2004. Some good seasons and a couple great seasons with conference and natty titles until the ship is righted and he goes HAM a few years earlier than he actually did in real life when he went to BAMA. He got good in 2008 and 2009 so in this scenario he would be good in 2005/2006.
