We know Georgia would be no better than 10-1, considering South Carolina was on said schedule.

UGA has had a top 10 SoS since 2017. Keep pushing that narrative though.

They look basically the same and I don’t see how anything before the playoff era is relevant considering my post was addressing the playoff committee giving relevance to ooc scheduling. Bama has played decent ooc opponents before, but that doesn’t give them a pass for the recent scheduling they’ve done. I think 2015 Wisconsin was the last ooc team bama played that finished the season in the top 25.

In the years Ga Tech is listed as your notable OOC game; the rest of your schedule was absolute dog shite.

Southern Cal finished ranked #4. Why would we be asking for forgiveness?

Yes, 2019 was bad. As was established.

2016 Southern California
- #3 AP Poll
- #5 Coaches Poll
- Pac 12 Champs
- Rose Bowl Champs
- lost to Alabama 52-6

It's probably the best OOC regular season win a SEC team has had in the last 5 years, so yea it should probably be mentioned.

My mistake then. Like I said, some of the years weren’t bama’s fault which is the issue with scheduling games so far in advance.

When was the game scheduled? Louisville was good with Lamar Jackson and average at best without him.

Duke in 2019 sucked, and it is and will probably cost us.

But Duke is not the norm in our OOC scheduling. One peek at the schedule, past and future, should confirm that.

Bama’s ooc schedule definitely picks up next year.

You are consistent with your Bama bashing every year bro. Show us where Bama touched you little guy. Also, how many teams would be undefeated with Clemson's schedule? I won't hate on Clemson though, we know they are good despite their schedule and I am guessing they are good enough to beat South Carolina Saturday.

Louisville was also good before Lamar Jackson

2012 : 11-2, #13
2013 : 12-1, #15
2014 : 9-4, #24
2015 : 8-5
2016 : 9-4, #21
2017 : 8-5

Louisville had won 8+ games 6 straight seasons before we played them in 2018. At worst they were normally a solid team, at best a top 15/10 team (with different QBs and Coaches). They just completely collapsed.

The game was scheduled after the 2014 season. Louisville had finished ranked for 3 straight years at that point.

So you're saying Bama would not have beaten ND by more than 6? or they wouldn't have beaten Florida by more than 7?

I think Bama even with Mick Jones at QB is at least as good as you if not better. If this is a schedule discussion, then yeah Bama played Duke which is really shitty but they play the same schedule as everyone else really. Honestly, ND is only a TD or so better than Duke.

The SEC East for the last few years has only really been you guys and only this last year, has Florida gotten better. I just think you guys are overrated and we're going to beat you by 3 scores at least.

They had 2 good seasons. If you keep going back they were 7-6 in 2011 and 2010, and 4-8 in 2009. Those 2 good years were the exception rather than rule.

And before that they were good during Petrino's first run.

Point behind, we scheduled them as a program that had been a Top 25 program for the previous 3 years and then they were a 8+ win team even after that.

The only time they'd fallen apart before 2018 was under Kragthorpe in the late 2000s.

No, I’m saying there’s no way of possibly knowing what would happen.

LSU will definitely be favored. The best defense LSU has played held them to 23, so it’s certainly possible a better defense could do it again.

Maybe but if we get held to 23 again, you guys will hold yourself to 10. Even against our middle-ish defense.

Right, they’re basically an 8 win or so acc team. A solid ooc opponent, but not a big game. Not like uga playing Notre Dame or auburn playing Oregon or bama playing that usc team.

Maybe, but UGA scored more than 10 against auburn, Florida, and Missouri and all 3 are better defensively than LSU.

Yea - I mean you aren't gonna get a traditional Top 10 program every year. But for a program like Alabama, you can never have your best OOC game be Duke. That was just a failure on our part/Chik Fil A's part.

And I'm guessing we'll never allow ourselves to be put in a position where that happens again.
