-Pretty much every important Mississippi politican ever save for my man Sonny Montgomery (although a Bulldog and a Democrat, this Rebel is a big Sonny Montgomery fan) went to Ole Miss. That includes Trent Lott, Haley Barbour, and most of our state's representatives, senators, and governors... ever.
-Dan Jones was president of the American Heart Association before becoming Ole Miss Chancellor.
-Jim Barksdale is the founder and CEO of what was Netscape. The Honors College is funded largely by him.
-Shep Smith is the highest paid news anchor on cable television.
-Dickie Scruggs was simultaneously the most powerful and corrupt civil attorney in America at one point, so suck on THAT.
That's just off of the top of my head. I'm sure some of the other Old Pissers have some better answers.
