you have swamps on campus that inhabit alligators that if they so choose could just run around campus chomping people's legs off?

There's potential there. Cyotes are damn near everwhere and I have no idea what most of these campuses are like.

Also, buffaloes and bison are the same thing. The only reason I used different names are because the schools mascots are differently named.

Lets just do the Big 10 as I think most if not all work..

Northwestern Wildcats - Im sure
Minnesota Gophers - Probably could be anyones mascot.
Michigan Wolverines - Yup
Wisconsin Badgers - Yup
PSU Nittany Lions - Mountain lions from a local mountani so yes.
OSU Buckeyes - Yup
Illinois Fighting Illini - there has to be a native american somewhere around there.
Indiana Hoosiers - as said before just an Indiana native
Iowa Hawkeye - Kind of a mix breed like the Kansas Jayhawk but it kind of exist?
Purdue Boilermakers - I suppose once upon a team they were there.
MSU Spartans - Swing and a miss

Once again, Wildcats DO NOT LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES and there is no such animal as a Hawkeye.

I always assumed schools just used the term Wildcats when referring to Bobcats but are the same animal (like cougars and mountain lions). I know my old high school had stuffed bobcats in the front office but we were known as the Wildcats. It would make more sense as Bobcats live in most of North America and there are countless schools with the Wildcat mascot name.

yes. have you ever been to UF's campus, to gainesville, or to the state of florida??
there are lakes, ponds, swamps, etc on/throughout campus and there are plenty of real-life alligators on campus. i saw a little 4 footer in the lake right next to the Reitz Union two days ago.

I know there are Buckeye trees throughout Ohio, but don't know if there were any on the campus before OSU was around (I know there are some now that were planted).

If we could put Oregon State and USCE on the sme campus, recruits would be committing freshman year. It would be like Sodom and Gamora

Roughly 100% of the inhabitants of the Ole Miss campus are Rebels--the drawls, the Bourbon, the ante-bellum mindset.....

Top that

I doubt 100% of Old Mrs inhabitants are WHITE good ole boys.

Sadly the only time we've been close to having sexual referenceable mascot vs sexual referencable mascot was when we played OSU in the Outback Bowls. Cocks vs Nuts are the closest we have been able to get a I believe.
