Had. We have a new OC and DC, the way they develop talent is yet to be seen. History has shown that VanGorder is no slouch though

interested to see the new offense post Cam/Dyer/Malzahn era as well, let's hope it's better than the FL post tebow/harvin/urban era

It's not like it was booming last year with Dyer and Malzahn. I think we'll be fine

We stacked! As many as 9 players on LSU's team have 1st round talent ...not all will be first rounders obviously, but this is a damn impressive group... Montgomery Reid Mingo Simon Faulk Hurst Logan Honeybadger Mett.... Even though that's prob a long shot I think Ford and Ware could be early rd (1-3) picks too... And sophomores OBJ and the freak could prob be nfl ready too if they could leave Yep.... Be afraid, very afraid SEC

No, simon and Mett aren't first round talents, and Hurst would need a very good season to sneak into the first round. Logan has first round talent, but he was the least productive on the D-Line last year iirc.

This site, Walter Camp, has 16 SEC players going first round out of 32. Half of the first rounders, SEC players.

Alabama 4
LSU 4
Georgia 2
Florida 2
Arkansas 1
Mississippi State 1
Texas A&M 1
South Carolina 1

That list looks right for the rest of the SEC, but Auburn will have approx 15 alone. Which makes this list BS.

Logan was a beast last year and tough for many to handle, don't know what line you were watching

Slight difference between "Walter Camp" and "Walterfooball".

He gets his hits for being one of the top search results, not for his accuracy or draft prowess.

Any mock that has TM7 coming off the board before Tyler Wilson is questionable

The reason it was rough last yr was due to the loss of so many starters... Not Dyer/Malzahn. Was more concerned about AU bouncing back offensively with Dyer and Malzahn being involved that's for sure.... Talent is there to get it done though...what type of offense does VanGorder run??

Honeybadger is not going in the first round. he is not a good coverage corner. He is a major liability in coverage, and a big reason why you guys got teabagged in the championship game. AJ could throw over TM7 at will all night, to receivers only marginally taller than him. The receivers are only going to get taller for him in the pros. Now if he shows he can still be a lockdown corner despite his size this year, he could go 1st round, because he is a playmaker and a good return guy, but nobody is going to waste a first round draft pick a a rover/nickleback who cant cover and is 5'9" (being generous)

I think you will struggle. You have a team full of players recruited for a spread option trickery offense who will be trying to play smash mouth football. That doesn't just happen overnight. For QB youve got Barret Trotter (nuff said) and the next Jordan Jefferson. And on D you've got a bunch of incompetents who have proven to be soft as a marshmallow. To turn it around you got the guy who drove the falcon's D into the ground, who happens to look like he should be on staff at penn state, molesting children.

Just because you have one bad game doesn't mean TM7 can't cover...I believe he will prove to most that is not the case next season....HB is on a mission next season, can't wait

Good lord you couldn't be more wrong…

Our offensive players that have been recruited for a "spread option trickery offense" all had offers from the likes of LSU, Bama, UGA, etc, so obviously they can fit in a pro-style. Not to mention we've had one of the top, if not THE top, OL classes the past 3 years, so we'll have physical studs where it matters most when talking about converting to a pro-style.

Also, Trotter isn't there anymore. Nice insight man. And Frazier is the next JJ? Is it cuz he's black? Surely you aren't going to base that off of 12 throws during his very first year.

As for defense, you call them incompetent and soft. Well, a majority of them were either freshmen, or sophomores getting their very first look at significant PT. There's no doubt that they'll be much improved. I hope you write them off.

And VanGorder ran the Falcons into the ground? They were in the top half of the NFL in total defense the whole time he was there. And as UGA fans will tell you, he was nothing short of spectacular during his time in Athens, so I think he'll be just fine.

Did you gather your info from TideFans? BOL?

also, there are only so many years in a row you can use the excuse of being young. ponce de leon should have been looking in auburn if he wanted to find the fountain of youth apparently.
