It's been almost 50 years and gt is still kicking themselves for having a hissy fit over bear bryant.
Did they not think he was going to die or something?

Sewanee never won a single SEC game.
Apparently at one time they were a football powerhouse. In 1899 they played 5 away games within 6 days and won them all by shut outs. Traveling 2500 miles by train in the process.
Sewanee 12 - Texas 0
Sewanee 10 - Texas A&M 0
Sewanee 23 - Tulane 0
Sewanee 34 - LSU 0
Sewanee 12 - Ole Miss 0

I was going to post this. They actually outscored their opponents that year 322-10. Auburn was the only team to even score on them.
That road trip is just amazing. 91-0 over those 5 teams in 6 days...

Just a question. Are you just a UVA fan, or do you have a SEC team. It is always nice to have more Hokie hatred on the board.
Not a UVA fan, just wish them well, and I like VCU after LSU.

Think they had helmet to helmet or was it the head to head rule and ejections?

My father went to Georgia so I grew up rooting for them. It's mostly Hokie hatred though if we're going to be honest. With Virginia in the perpetual doldrums I subsist on a healthy diet of schadenfreude.
Speaking of which, how about that Bama game?

I think SC and Arkansas will pick up one in the next 10 years. On the fence about A&M and Vandy and Mizzou have no shot. Ever.

For only the 3rd time ever, I will be rooting for Tech.
Actually surprised some on The Sabre when I said that. But I just can't root for Bama
