I agree Lat, in the Big 12 he would go bat shite crazy, at Texas he would be able to recruit enough D to win and win big

Really wouldn't surprise me if they came after Petrino hard once Mack leaves. Him leaving for Texas would surprise me even less.

They will be going after some huge names for sure. Petrino would probably be one of the best guys they could get since they don't need to work to get recruits and he's obviously great at developing players

He will never win a title at Ark. He just doesn't have a hotbed of recruits and regardless of what Arky fans think, nationally Petrino is seen as kind of a prick. Just think if you're a recruit from Texas or Tenn and don't know much about Petrino. The only national stories about I the Falcons debacle and the way he acted during the LSU game.
I do think he is a top 5 offensive coach and can turn a below avg qb into a solid player

When will people realize that a huge buy out prob wouldn't stand up in court. He would prob have to pay something but not the whole buyout and Texas could afford whatever they wanted

If Petrino wanted to leave Arkansas for a premier program with great recruiting advantages he would have gone to Florida. Anything can happen, but I expect Petrino to stay at Arkansas for at least the next 4-5 years.
