How long was Alabama DB Geno Smith suspended?

Geno Smith was arrested and charged with his second DUI while at Alabama on March 28, 2015. As far as I can tell, he was suspended shortly after. However, he returned to the field on April 6th, 2015, progressed to second team on April 8th, 2015 and then took over first team on April 12th, 2015. I also saw him playing in the spring game.
Am I off base here, or is that all his "on-field" suspension consisted of? I'm assuming he's not suspended anymore considering he's practicing with first team and playing in the annual spring game.

You don't know the circumstances or anything. Worry more about Auburn.

I can't. BAMA is in my head and on my mind.

Well, I would imagine he had his license taken away so he cannot legally drive. I don't see what keeping him from playing football would solve, other than him being bored and tempted to illegally drive drunk again.

Meanwhile Bert is suspending people for an entire semester for skipping a few classes

If he can't stay away from drinking and driving simply because he's temporarily suspended from the football team, he has bigger problems.

Oh I think we are past this. He has had 2 DUIs in a year. Dude has issues. I am just saying, I don't think kicking him off the team solves anything. He needs help, not banishment.
Btw, I am pretty sure he didn't participate in the first half of spring camp.

I was just wondering about his suspension. I assume it's pretty much a guarantee he's not going to be kicked off the team at this point unless he were to frick up again.

He's definitely working in his spare time to pay off his fines or lawyer fees.

I just hate when people want to bash others who have drug or alcohol issues. They need help, not be kicked to the curb.

I agree with you to an extent but people receiving a college scholarship should not be held to the same standards as everyone else.

He has zero DUI convictions. Don't put the cart before the horse.
