I've never seen their contingency plan. I'm not sure what it includes or doesn't. I suppose there's a chance that there wasn't one but Foley has been around too long for me to truly believe that.
I think something went sideways and Foley wasn't going to retire giving LSU three straight home games with UF.
I would like to hear the Sunday/Monday side just to quiet the LSU fans. They can either claim "I told you so" or be enlightened if it all comes out which I don't think it will.
I think Sunday or Monday would have been a tough decision based on the track of the storm prior to it getting to the Cape. We really didn't know if it was possible and I don't think the logistics allow for stand by status to run a home game at the Swamp.

no one is banned on this board for saying LSU handled Rita the wrong way when it comes to football. They are banned for saying shite like "I'm glad katrina took out all that New Orleans thug trash" or "NO needed a good cleanse".

I don't know what else you want. Alleva isn't going to just tell an outright lie. The SEC commish was on all of these calls. Alleva can't just make shite up.

I think Foley's contingency plan was to get LSU to play in Gainesville on Nov 19th or not play the game at all. There was nothing to lose at that point.

That assumes that Foley didn't know the rule about having to play 8 SEC games.

I'd agree normally, but LSU is catching a bunch of flack currently in the media and no one is mentioning Foley's mismanagement.
But I am happy the game is being played.

I agree with this. I think Foley was very surprised when Alleva dug in about not giving up a home game.

We caught some flack last week. It'll die. In a way, this is good. Makes us hate each other more instead of a forced rivalry.

In other words, since he didn't like what Alleva had to say about Sunday or Monday, the other option was likely November 19th, in Gainesville.

Alleva figured out that Sankey has no teeth, due in large part to Foley's handling of him last week, funny enough.
