Ok. So who's safer than him in your opinion. I'll throw McCarron in there too.

With his injuries and his measurements, he is lucky to be taken in any round. That being said, I think he has a lot of fight in him so maybe he can sneak out a spot on an NFL team. Definitely will be signed as a FA somewhere. Just going to have to work up the totem pole.

I guess injuries could be one knock. But he's played through them at a high level before.

I think somebody will give him a shot. I can see him thriving in a run first system. He's not a big guy, but can make throws on the move, he's pretty accurate, and can scramble when the opportunity is there. Most of all, he is careful with the football. I think he would be a safe pick as a backup for a team like Houston or Seattle, or someone else who can afford a pick like that.

Yep. That's what I was thinking. Russell Wilson like.

Don't believe any of his injuries have been serious. Will be a solid backup in the NFL. Would take him on my team.

I hope the Pats draft him so he can study under the GOAT and take over once he retires.

The NFL will take notice. He's very good.

He got invited to the combine

It's "Tom Brady" syndrome! And we all know how that played out! I'm a big fan of Connor Shaw, dude is a BEAST! I'd take Shaw over any other QB in the draft. Period

But Ryan Mallet isn't retiring anytime soon

Shaw would do well in the NFL, with the way the game is changing and teams are looking for dual threat QB's he can throw.

Frick him. He's from Arkansas. His future is as Bama's next multi-national championship coach, not multi-MVP NFL Qb.

The last minute of the Spurrier/Shaw/Ellington interview has one of my now alltime favorite Spurrier interview moments.
Shaw: "So I'll be going to ATL to train, and hopefully get a chance to meet with a team."
Spurrier (interrupts): "He's going to the combine...(To Shaw) did you know that?"
Stunned Shaw: "No, no I did not know that."
Spurrier: "Well, (sucks teeth) they told me not to tell you that you were invited until after the game."
(boisterous laughter)

An invite to the combine is a big deal. I'm super happy for Shaw, the kid is special.

Underrated,Someone will be getting a baller cheap.

He has injury concerns because he isn't very big. However, he won't be running a bunch of QB draw in the NFL the way he did at South Carolina. Bottom line is the kid is a winner and can ball. Someone will give him a shot because of his toughness and desire, although he'll most likely be a backup. As much as I love the guy, he doesn't have the physical tools to be a top tier QB in the pro's.

Listen there might be 15qb's ranked ahead of shaw that can pass down field better than him but when it comes to winning I promise you there aren't 15qb's better than him
