I was at that game in Baton Rouge. Alabama should have won that game. They had the lead with under 2 minutes left. After the game, Bobby Knight came to Alabama's dressing room and congratulated them, and said, "you're the best team we've played all year" (Michigan was ranked #2 and had lost to Indiana earlier in the year). Indiana finished undefeated (6 NBA draftees!) and stomped Michigan again, in the finals.
