How good would Bo Nix be with a decent QB coach?

I think we're well past the stage where you will get arguments.

He is not a very good QB. He is an above average athlete. But he is one of the QBs you want to only run a 2-read play action type offense with.

His best asset is leg/mobility. Should be used more than it is.

Clearly you are trolling, but here's an interesting take from our board from Jason Campbell for anybody who isn't trolling (so basically nobody here)

quote:

“You don’t have to make every play,” Campbell told me during a Wednesday appearance on “The Opening Kickoff” on WNSP-FM 105.5. “Understand the game is played in situations. At the end of the game, it can be a chess match. They know if they can face you into taking those chances, then they win.” In other words, Nix is pressing. “In high school, he was a man amongst boys,” Campbell said. “He could outrun a lot of people, get outside the pocket and thrown on the run.” Campbell isn’t wrong. At Pinson Valley, Nix threw for 10,393 yards and 127 passing touchdowns. He rushed for 2,112 yards and 34 touchdowns. “He brought that same element to Auburn where he feels like he has to make every play,” Campbell explained. Now, Campbell added, opponents are putting more pressure on Nix, so he must rely on his teammates and understand situational football. “Bo needs to channel himself,” Campbell said. "This is a time right now that’s very critical for him to hold himself accountable, take a step back and breathe. “You are seeing a lot of new things from (offensive coordinator) Chad Morris and having a full spring. That’s where you go through these situational drills. You are seeing the effects of it now. Chad’s still trying to figure out Bo’s tendencies. He flushed out of the pocket too early sometimes. That’s where he feels most comfortable.” Campbell compares what we saw late in the South Carolina game to what we saw in the season-opening win last year against Oregon. In the second half of that game, however, Nix “let the game come to him. He played within the system.”

Bo Nix should’ve been developed before he reached campus. His dad played at a high level and was coached under Jimbo. Pat Nix didn’t have the mechanical problems Nix has. He never corrected his son. He just let him rip out there. Now it’s catching up to him.
