3 star on the composite

Well, yeah.

247 weighs their own rankings more heavily in the Composite formula.

They rated him as a 3-star.

The other two services, at the time of his recruitment, rated him as a 4-star.

No matter how many times you post that picture it still won't change the fact that Saban was an idiot that night and I am still an Alabama board moderator.

Stars matter in that they have had evaluation and it serves as an indicator for their potential. But, all have to develop to be successful in college and have any shot at the NFL. That is why the portal is such a game changer, as coaches can watch D1 level film on guys that flew under the radar to get a more accurate read on how they might transition and develop.

There are a lot of players that simply can't afford to promote themselves or camp rigorously and their scouting evaluation on e-services will reflect that negatively. Any success they have in college or cracking a starting lineup doesn’t necessarily mean they had some college coach gurus magically get them there.

The real question is which schools still have staff committed to the road and ties with HS coaches to ID the underrepresented talent that scouting services overlook.

Your program would crawl across broken glass if it would get Ladd to Obnoxiousville. He sure showed y’all what he can do. And he was smart enough to know he wanted a quality education and play for a real football team. Family connections be damned

200 characters is short.

I don't read the Bama board. So I don't really know how other fans interact.

I'm not an expert on Bama, the SEC, or ncaa. I wouldn't presume to act that way on another team board.

I'd probably be pretty quiet on there. I don't really post "I agree".
If a UGA perspective would be beneficial to a discussion, I would chime in. But I know how to behave as a guest.

Some guys are ranked low if they feel grades can hurt them.

Justin Jefferson was a 3* and is the best WR in the NFL today. He was the 203rd ranked WR nationwide and 65th overall in Louisiana.
