They’ll be a 3rd tiered SEC school soon imo… Texas and OU will curb stomp them seasonally in the big 3 sports, then LSU, Miss St, and Bama will crush all their hopes and dreams. Truth is they best prepare to get molly whopped seasonally and call even Vandy their daddy.

I'm thinking LSU may be a little bruised up also. And for the same reasons you point point out. You obviously see how good they are.

I’m no A&M fan, but wtf has Texas done in the last decade to believe they will be ahead of A&M?

The reality is that Texas A&M has surpassed Texas. In fact, the Aggies have a chance to put a nail in UT for a while if they dominate them their first 3-5 years in the conference.

LSU should be more worried in this situation. If they have a repeat of last season, things will get spicy in BR.

Baseball they almost made it to the cws finals this year, and are frequent cws visitors. Basketball they are a yearly top 25 if not top 10 team. Football they hired an offensive genius who has some tools to work with.

I think Jumbo has them going in the right direction. Probably beat everyone but Bama and split with with LSU and Oklahoma.

Any team that relies on Texas recruiting will be hurt somewhat. Other teams will be more impacted by how the new divisions shape up.

Our last three coaches all won championships. Even one hired by fricking Joe Alleva.

Mark me down as not concerned.

Two really bad takes here. Nail in the coffin... They couldn't even do that when we were in the 2nd shittiest power 5 conference.

LSU will be fine. Aggy on the other hand, is fricked.

You’re delusional if you believe A&M has surpassed Texas. Besides football, name another sport A&M can slightly compete with UT? Track? UT. Golf? UT. Swimming? UT. Academics? UT.

The slogan of only SEC school in Texas is gone for A&M and so are their chances of doing something great in the SEC. Also, makes a lot of people and myself sick that the media always promoted A&M like they were something.

We can recruit your state, MS, and we produce great home grown LA talent. I think we’ll be okay.

I never said LSU would die. Just that they’d be impacted somewhat. lol not sure why you’re being so defensive about it.

I welcome the competition. I think Oklahoma will be competitive, and eventually, Texas will be too at some point.

I think you’re giving Texas wayyy more credit for being relevant in college athletics than they really are. Let’s face it…if not for ONE man..and ONE man only (Vince Young)..the last Texas NC was in 1970. They really are a paper longhorn.
