Kelly has as much chance of being fired in the next year or two. He’s awful. That win against Clemson’s backup quarterback where they rushed the field was just sad and indicative of how low that program has fallen. That game saved his job, but he’s still terrible. They know they didn’t belong in the playoff. It was the worst selection made in the playoff era and makes the whole process questionable at best.
Kelly is on borrowed time...O is as well. Saying someone chose Kelly because he’s more stable in his job likely isn't true. A poor season by either coach might be their last.

You do know Clemson went 15-0 the year before LSU went 15-0.

This is false. The only group with any power at ND that is unhappy with current state of the program believes that the academic side of the school has hamstrung the football program. They do not blame Kelly; most of them think he is doing as well as possible under the circumstances. There's zero appetite at ND among any body who matters to fire Kelly.
