Shine has worn off?
Acceptable?
Still very happy?
You guys are better off than before for sure but tourney play hasn't had the best results for the talent that he has brought to it. Also feel free to melt here.

Really good. Feel great about next year's class, the new arena, and the overall future of the program.

That next year is a big year to prove whether 2021 or 2022 was the aberration year.
This year was a disappointment, but on the flip side "disappointment" being a tournament birth is a good thing. We'll see.

Very happy with the roster coming back and the class coming in.
Today sucks. Losing to UCLA sucked. But he's our guy.

So far, much better than expected. Next year will prove his staying power, IMO. Top 5 class coming in to follow up back to back NCAA Tourney bids, and a brand new arena on deck.
Not sure who we could have hired who would have done more over that time.

Oats is still a good coach. Just had an up and down year, and they still made the tourney as a 6 seed.

In all seriousness, we can’t be too upset about back to back tourneys. I’m melting hardcore, but we knew this team was a joke. We just like to drink the Koolaid.

A lot more upset with the UCLA loss last year than this one. This one shows we just weren’t that good of a team. They can’t shoot consistently Haven’t all year. But last year We were good enough to make an even deeper run and lost that game strictly because of free throws.

I like him very much, and he's recruiting better and better players.
Hopefully he'll get us some leadership through the portal for next year.

Have they approved the new arena?

Happy with where the program has advanced since Oats arrived. He is a keeper.

Will you LSU asshats make your way out of this thread? Adults are talking.

Kinda what I figured would be the feel. Whats acceptable for next year? Second weekend and top 4 in the SEC or a deeper run?

Honestly not sure there is a required run, as we'll have a bunch of super talented but young players and probably some portal additions.
I think more importantly will be seeing a tough minded, hard playing team like last year as opposed to the absolute nonsense of this year.

He won the SEC last season for Bama for the first time in 2 decades. Hes earned some chance to correct course without any grumbling from me. I do think he made big mistakes with recruiting.
